offline study companion · made for Filipino students

Nobody should
study alone.

kahit mag-isa ka, may katabi ka na.

Meet Ella, your seatmate. She keeps your quizzes, subjects, and grades in one place and cheers you on in natural Taglish. No account, no internet, no hassle.

what it can do today

A small app that already feels like company.

Everything below works today, fully offline. And the screenshots? They follow this page's theme — flip the site to dark and the app flips with it, just like the real thing.

Your whole week, one glance.

A calm home screen: what's coming up, how many quizzes you've taken, and a gentle streak. No clutter, no numbers you didn't ask for. Just today, handled.

A seatmate who talks back.

Log a quiz and Ella notes it down. Record your score and she reacts, the way a classmate would. Not a robot reading stats back — a seatmate who's genuinely rooting for you.

Everything sorted, your colors.

Tag your classes and keep every subject in its own color, so exam week never turns into a scavenger hunt. Then log a quiz straight against it.

Quick notes for the lesson that might show up on the quiz. No account, no cloud, no internet — every note lives on your device and nowhere else. Works even without load, kahit patay ang Wi-Fi.

Take Ella for a spin, today.

Seatmate isn't on the Play Store yet — it's an MVP and store fees are real. So while it grows, the app is a free direct download. Android only for now; iOS is on the wishlist.

⇩ Download for Android (APK) v1.0.0 · free · no ads · fully offline

Because it's installed outside the Play Store, Android will ask you to allow installing from your browser the first time — that's standard for directly-distributed apps. Tap Allow, open the APK, and you're in. Your data never leaves your phone.

this is just the start

This is the MVP. The real idea is bigger.

Picture a study companion in the spirit of Character.AI, but built to actually move students forward. Not a chatbot for killing time — a seatmate that quizzes you, plans your review, and keeps you going when motivation runs low.

Roadmap ni Ella

  • NowTracks & cheers Quizzes, grades, subjects, notes, with Ella keeping you company in Taglish. That's everything in the screenshots above.
  • NextTalks & quizzes you Chat with Ella, ask her to drill you before an exam, and turn a heavy topic into a plan you can finish tonight.
  • LaterAdapts & teaches A companion that remembers your subjects, notices when you fall behind, and adapts to how you actually learn.

Most students don't fall behind for lack of smarts. They fall behind because studying alone is lonely, unstructured, and easy to put off. Seatmate puts someone in the seat beside them.

I have the product and the belief. I'm looking for the team.

Seatmate is a solo build right now. No funding yet — just a working app and a stubborn belief that this can go far. If you care about how students learn, come build it from the ground up with me. Early collaborators grow with the product.

Why I'm
building this:

"I studied alone, night after night, walang katabi. If I'd had an Ella back then, iba ang usapan. That's what I want the next student to have."
