Seatmate isn't on the Play Store yet — it's an MVP and store fees are real. So while it grows, the app is a free direct download. Android only for now; iOS is on the wishlist.
Because it's installed outside the Play Store, Android will ask you to allow installing from your browser the first time — that's standard for directly-distributed apps. Tap Allow, open the APK, and you're in. Your data never leaves your phone.
This is the MVP. The real idea is bigger.
Picture a study companion in the spirit of Character.AI, but built to actually move students forward. Not a chatbot for killing time — a seatmate that quizzes you, plans your review, and keeps you going when motivation runs low.

Most students don't fall behind for lack of smarts. They fall behind because studying alone is lonely, unstructured, and easy to put off. Seatmate puts someone in the seat beside them.
